Chris J. Lawless has joined Guaranty Bank & Trust as Dallas–Fort Worth Regional President, where he will lead the bank’s growth strategy, lending operations, and market expansion across one of Texas’s most competitive banking regions. In this role, he is responsible for driving commercial banking performance, building high-performing teams, and strengthening client relationships throughout the DFW market. Prior to joining Guaranty Bank & Trust, Lawless served as Chief Lending Officer and Regional Bank President at Trinity Capital Bank of Texas. There, he led lending and branch operations across Dallas and surrounding counties, consistently exceeding loan and deposit growth targets while maintaining exceptional credit quality. He was also a member of the bank’s executive team and key leadership committees. With more than 25 years of banking experience, Lawless brings deep expertise in commercial lending, credit risk management, and strategic market expansion. He is known for his disciplined approach to credit, strong leadership, and ability to scale banking operations in high-growth markets. Lawless holds a BBA in Finance from Baylor University and is actively involved in community and professional organizations across the DFW area. He and his wife, Erica, have been married for 24 years and have two daughters currently pursuing nursing degrees at Baylor University and Texas Christian University.
